Villa Oleandro — Bordighera
A 1920s hillside villa required a complete upper terrace rebuild after decades of water ingress through failed waterproofing. We redesigned the 78-square-metre platform with hidden drainage channels, reclaimed terracotta tile in a herringbone pattern, and a powder-coated pergola spanning the full sea-facing edge.
Built-in seating in Portuguese limestone wraps a central fire bowl, while olive trees in raised stucco planters frame the view toward Monaco. Total design and oversight fee: €7,200; construction completed in eleven weeks.
Casa del Porto — Sanremo Harbour
This fourth-floor apartment terrace measures just 18 square metres but demanded maximum function. We specified a fold-down dining counter, vertical herb gardens on the north wall, and a retractable awning system rated for harbour gusts up to 60 km/h.
Hand-trowelled stucco in warm ochre ties the balcony to the building's original façade colour. The compact concept package was delivered for €2,400 with full implementation costing approximately €14,500 through local trades.
Residenza Collina — Sanremo Hills
A family home on Via Fiume received a two-level terrace connecting the kitchen to a lower garden room. Wide stone steps with integrated LED strip lighting create an evening procession from cooking area to lounge deck below.
The outdoor kitchen features a bespoke concrete-and-stucco counter housing a wood-fired oven and induction hob. Design fees totalled €9,400 including structural engineer coordination for the step retaining wall.
Palazzo Azzurro — Corso degli Inglesi
Restoration of a Belle Époque loggia involved parapet stucco repair, new bronze drainage grilles, and reproduction of original balustrade profiles using site-moulded templates. The client wanted minimal visual change with dramatically improved weather performance.
Heritage-compliant materials and six site inspections over four months. Restoration survey and supervision: €5,100.
Giardino Privato — Arma di Taggia
A ground-level garden terrace replaced cracked concrete with permeable gravel paths, iroko decking islands, and a shaded reading pavilion. Drought-tolerant planting beds border the space without blocking the mountain views to the north.
This project demonstrates our coastal-outdoor approach applied inland with adjusted wind and humidity assumptions. Landscape masterplan: €6,300.
